Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop

Things seem to be normal and fairly calm one minute…until it isn’t.

The adrenaline I felt when a soccer ball was making its way down the field, rushed back to me.

Sure it stings a bit, but I can still hold space in sharing my happiness for others.

This year feels a little different. This year, I am apologizing to myself

For one thing, I have certainly changed.
